The NBA released the full 2023-2024 season schedule on Thursday and the Milwaukee Bucks finally know who they’ll be facing off against as they look to bring another championship home to Milwaukee after a quite disappointing end to their season. With a large majority of their roster returning and even some old faces coming back to the 414, the bar has already been set high for Milwaukee and their 2023-2024 season.
The Bucks also released their In-Season Tournament Schedule, which kicks off Nov. 3 against the New York Knicks at home.
Here are just a handful of games that are worth watching this year for Milwaukee.
Nationally Televised Games
Last season, the Bucks appeared in 32 nationally televised games. This year, it appears that they’ll have 28 games televised to the nation across the league’s broadcast partners. Their first three games of the season feature matchups against three of their top opponents in the 76ers, Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat.
The broadcast schedule for Bally Sports Wisconsin will be released at a later date.
Season Opener: Oct. 26 @ Home v. Philadelphia 76ers.
The Bucks will open up their season at home against the reigning MVP Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers. The last time Milwaukee faced Philly, the Bucks won the contest 117-104. This will be one of two times the two teams face off this season with the other matchup being in February at Philadelphia in a matinee.
October 30: @ Home vs. Miami Heat
Milwaukee will welcome the Miami Heat to the Fiserv Forum for their third game of the regular season. The Miami Heat are responsible for bumping the Bucks out of the playoffs after five games last season, despite Milwaukee having the best regular season record in the NBA for the third time in the last five years.
November 13: Milwaukee Bucks @ Chicago Bulls
It’s always a fun time when the Bucks faceoff with their I-94 rival, Chicago Bulls. This will be the first of three times they’ll face one another, the other two being Dec. 11 at home, and then Mar. 1 at Chicago. The last time these two teams played one another in April of this year, the Bucks came out on top, 105-92. This was also the game where the Bucks clinched the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and the best record in the NBA.
November 22: Milwaukee Bucks @ Boston Celtics
Giannis and the Bucks will travel out to face Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics in November. The last time these two teams faced off, the Celtics won 140-99, giving them the season series win over Milwaukee 2-1. The Celtics also beat the Bucks in seven games in the 2022 East semifinals.
Christmas Day in New York
The Bucks will play on Christmas for the sixth straight year, facing off with the Knicks at Madison Square Garden in a matinee matchup. This is the Bucks’ 10th game on Christmas Day, where they hold a 5-4 record in said contests.
The Bucks also play on New Years Day where they host Oshkosh North graduate and rising superstar Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers.
January 13: Home v. Golden State Warriors
Milwaukee will welcome the seven-time NBA champions, the Golden State Warriors to their home turf to face off. This will be one of two times we’ll see this matchup as they’ll see the Warriors again on March 6, in which that game will be nationally televised. The last time these two played each other was in March of this year, where the Warriors came out on top in overtime, 125-116.
Key Highlights
The Bucks will face the 2023 NBA Champions Denver Nuggets one time at home on Feb. 12.
They will have a season-long six-game homestand from Dec. 11-21, and a season-long five-game road trip from Jan. 29- Feb. 6.
Milwaukee will play three games in October, 16 in November, 13 in December, 16 in January, 12 in February, 14 in March, and eight in April.
The beginning of the Bucks’ season is very Eastern Conference heavy, which is a good thing as it’ll allow Milwaukee to see where they stand with these teams early on in the season.
