Brewers News: Sal Frelick has been cleared to return to Triple-A after undergoing thumb surgery.

Prior to returning to the Nashville Sounds Sal Frelick was playing at the Arizona Complex League. During this rehab stint he went 3-for-9 with two doubles and three walks.
The Brewers did recently sign outfielder Raimel Tapia. He’s an eight year veteran player who they elected to bring in due to injuries to multiple outfielders. Garrett Mitchell, Tyrone Taylor, and Jesse Winker are all on the injured list.
As it stands today Tapia will be competing with Blake Perkins and Brian Anderson for playing time in the outfield. Brian Anderson is best utilized as a third baseman and Blake Perkins does not have much big league experience.
If Sal Frelick is able to play well in Triple-A he could earn a promotion to the major leagues at some point this season.
