Milwaukee Brewers second ranked prospect Sal Frelick underwent surgery on April 25 after a thumb injury. His recovery timeline was estimated at 6-8 weeks. The good news is that he is on track with his recovery and recently resumed game action at the Arizona Complex League.

Sal Frelick has resumed game action for the Milwaukee Brewers at the Arizona Complex League.
On June 9 Sal Frelick played in his first live game since surgery. He went 0-3 in the game but did cross home plate once. Prior to his injury he was playing in Triple-A with the Nashville Sounds. He was 15 games into the season before his thumb injury.
Brewers farm director Tom Flanagan indicated a few weeks ago that the plan is for Sal Frelick to return to Nashville once ready. He is a candidate to receive a big league promotion at some point this season but will need to get back into the rhythm of things before the Brewers consider this.
