The 2023 Milwaukee Brewers are in first place in the NL Central. Thanks to a post-All-Star break sweep of the Cincinnati Reds, the Crew has a two-game lead for the division title. At 52-42, manager Craig Counsell has guided his team to a season-high ten games over .500.
While the Milwaukee Brewers of today are in the thick of a playoff push, a Brewer of tomorrow is on the move. According to Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Milwaukee has promoted Jacob Misiorowski from the High-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers to the AA Biloxi Shuckers.
Just a month after being promoted to High-A, Brewers top pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski has been promoted to Double-A Biloxi, a source confirmed. Misiorowski had a 1.90 ERA in six starts at High-A.

Jacob Misiorowski promoted to Milwaukee Brewers AA-affiliate Biloxi Shuckers
The top pitching prospect in the Brewers organization started six games for the Timber Rattlers. In his High-A debut on June 8th, the six-foot-seven-inch righty retired 12-straight batters just two days after getting his call-up from the Single-A affiliate Carolina Mudcats. He tallied a 1.90 ERA in his six starts in the High-A Midwest League.
With a high-velocity fastball as his calling card, it is apt that Milwaukee’s fourth-overall-ranked prospect is blazing through the minor-league ranks. The young pitcher consistently reaches triple-digit velocity. In the MLB Futures game, the 21-year-old threw 11 fastballs in the one half-inning he appeared in. Only one was clocked under 100 miles per hour. He was responsible for the ten hardest pitches thrown during the game, including his best of 102.4 miles per hour.
Milwaukee Brewers Top 100 Prospect Jacob Misiorowski
Misiorowski is the 87th-ranked prospect in baseball, according to MLB Pipeline. The Brewers were cautious with their 2022 second-round draft pick during the 2022 season – only giving him two starts at Carolina – as he finished rehab following a right meniscus tear in 2021. He received the highest signing bonus among Milwaukee’s 2022 draft picks at $2.35 million.
Misiorowski joins several top Brewers prospects at AA Biloxi. Jackson Chourio, Jefferson Quero, and Tyler Black, all top-five prospects in the organization themselves, have been with the Shuckers all season.
