The top pitcher in the Brewers’ minor league system is being promoted.
Jacob Misiorowski on Tuesday, was called up to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (Brewers High-A Affiliate)
Misiorowski was drafted in the second round of the 2022 MLB draft. Via MLB.com, Misiorowski is the fourth ranked prospect in the Brewers minor league system and had been pitching for the team’s Single-A Affiliate Carolina Mudcats.
Standing at 6’7, the tall-righty has a fastball that tops off between 94-97 MPH, a slider in the mid 80s, and more recently, Misiorowski has started to develop his curveball, and changeup.
Misiorowski before being promoted, had a 1-1 record, with 3.04 ERA, 46 strikeouts in 26.2 innings pitched. Misiorowski didn’t pick up his first win until May 25 against Down East Wood Ducks (Single-A Affiliate of Texas Rangers.) In his lone win, Misiorowski pitched five shutout innings, allowed zero hits, and struck out nine in a 5-0 Mudcats win.
He was also named Brewers Minor League Pitcher of the Month for the month of May.
It’ll be a couple before we see Misiorowski up in the big leagues, but if his stuff is any indication, he’ll be a cornerstone member of the Brewers rotation.
