Tonight is the final game of the Border Battle series between the Milwaukee Brewers and Minnesota Twins. The comeback kids of last night’s game look to take the series tonight. Eric Lauer is on the mound against Kenta Maeda.

    Eric Lauer

The Brewers left-hander looks for a redo from his last start. Lauer went three innings and gave up six runs, definitely a one to forget. In inter-league play, Lauer has a 2.53 ERA in 21 ⅓ innings pitched with a WHIP of 0.984 and 19 strikeouts. The Opening Day starter for the Padres last season swapped his slider for a cutter, which is his most used pitch next to the fastball. While he made his first impression in a Brewers uniform as a reliever, Lauer is making his second start tonight.

    Kenta Maeda

In his new digs, Kenta Maeda takes the mound at Miller Park tonight. The former Dodger has seen the Brewers a few times. Fives times to be exact. Maeda has held Brewers’ batters to a .196 average with an OPS of .647. The Brewers’ offense has been clicking as of late, so let’s see if the lineup will change the narrative. Maeda is .500 against the Brewers with an ERA of three. To start the year Maeda is 2-0 with a 2.67 ERA and an astounding WHIP of 0.647 in 17 innings of work.

    Brewers’ Lineup: 8/12/2020
