After All-Star guard Damian Lillard made franchise history recently, the Milwaukee Bucks fell to the Indiana Pacers to even the series. Head coach Doc Rivers revealed what went wrong for them in the second match of their showdown.
In that particular game, the Pacers went home with the dominant 125-108 victory over Milwaukee. Pascal Siakam was spectacular when he dropped 37 points on almost 70 percent shooting from the field, 11 rebounds, and six assists. Myles Turner made 22 points, while Tyrese Haliburton added 12 points and 12 assists for Indy.

The Bucks, on the other hand, had a big game again from Lillard when the former Portland Trail Blazers star tallied 34 points, four rebounds, and five assists. Brook Lopez contributed 22 points, while Bobby Portis finished the game 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The Bucks were still without All-Star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo as he is still nursing an injured calf. It’s not yet known when he’ll be back for action, especially now that the series is tied with one game each.
Doc Rivers Reveals What Went Wrong in Milwaukee Bucks Game 2 Loss to Indiana Pacers

After the game, Rivers spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on what went wrong for Milwaukee in Game 2. In a pair of posts shared by Eric Nehm and Bally Sports Wisconsin on X:
Doc Rivers: “The shots that we take are a part of our defense. And I thought in the second half we lacked that discipline. We lacked that discipline tonight,” Nehm tweeted.
“I thought they were the more physical team tonight.”

The Pacers outrebounded Milwaukee by five rebounds and blocked more shots in the paint. The absence of Antetokounmpo also allowed Indiana’s players, such as Siakam, Turner, and Nembhard to atack the paint more.

If the Bucks want to take the lead back, they might have to fight fire with fire against the Pacers. With the series shifting to Indiana’s home court, they will have to increase the intensity or find themselves losing again. If they don’t, they’ll find themselves exiting the playoffs earlier than they would like. In turn, an early elimination may lead Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard to want out of Milwaukee sooner than later.
