Jordan Nwora of the Milwaukee Bucks attempts a shot.

If there is something that could prevent the Bucks from repeating as champions this season, it may be their shooting.  Last year, the Bucks finished the regular season third in the NBA in field goal percentage (48.7%).  Looking at those stats a little closer, the Bucks shot 50.4% in wins and 45.8% in losses.  Each of these stats were good for top five in the NBA.  Additionally, the Bucks shot 49.1% at home and 48.4% on the road last season.  Again, each were good for top five in the league.  Why are these stats important to consider?  Because unfortunately, there…

The Milwaukee Bucks play the Memphis Grizzlies

Since their exciting Christmas Day victory over the Boston Celtics, the Milwaukee Bucks are 8-7.  While they enjoyed a recent three-game winning streak, the Bucks’ play has looked, at times, underwhelming over this stretch.  However, they have also played like the best team in the NBA at times, as well.  Perhaps the most puzzling are the teams that they beat compared to the teams they have lost to.  During their 15 match-ups since Christmas, the teams the Bucks have beaten have a combined winning percentage of around 51%.  This includes the Orlando Magic, who currently have the worst record in…

This Saturday, the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers face off in the NFC divisional round. These two teams have played each other quite a few times in the playoffs, including the 2019 NFC Championship Game where the 49ers won. The Packers and 49ers are a good matchup for each other, so let’s take a look at a position by position comparison. Quarterback This one is a no brainer. Aaron Rodgers is the presumptive MVP, so a comparison with Jimmy Garoppolo isn’t much of a competition. Jimmy Garoppolo is not a bad quarterback in any way, but when head…

Bobby Portis of the Milwaukee Bucks

Bobby Portis and the city of Milwaukee, it seems, were simply meant to be. It is rare that chants of “Bobby, Bobby, Bobby!” are not pouring from the rafters at Bucks games when he has done something to energize the crowd. Few players, if any, on the Milwaukee Bucks are able to activate the fans like Portis can.  In other cities, this level of admiration might be an expectation for an “MVP!” who has played for the same team for multiple years.  In this case, it took Portis less than a season.  Why and how has this bond formed so…

The 2021 NFL season for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers has been… entertaining, to say the least. Rodgers has been the main focus of 99% of the off-the-field chatter, starting with the offseason where no one (except for Adam Schefter, of course) knew what Aaron Rodgers was going to do. Host Jeopardy? Play for the Broncos? Retire? It was all on the table. Not to mention his toe became a hot debate on Twitter. Ultimately, Rodgers did come back to the Packers. He’s had one of the best seasons of his career and looks to be a lock…

Lambeau Field is called the Frozen Tundra for a reason. The Green Bay Packers often have to play in some of the coldest conditions in all of the NFL. When the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings face off on Sunday Night Football, it will be 8 degrees in Green Bay. This would set the record for the coldest Packers-Vikings game in Lambeau history. Since Aaron Rodgers took over as the starter in 2008, the Packers have played in many cold games late in the season, both at home and away. Which ones have been the coldest? Read about the 5…

Wisconsin Herd Players are getting their numbers called by NBA teams. Right now, there are 70 players on the COVID list. For the fourth consecutive year, the Milwaukee Bucks will participate in one of the NBA’s marquee Christmas day games, when they take on the Boston Celtics at Fiserv Forum. Playing on Christmas day has historically been more of a gift than a lump of coal for the Bucks. Currently, they hold a 4-3 record as a franchise when playing on December 25th. Two of those wins have come in the last three years. In 2018, the Bucks beat the New York Knicks 109 to 95 at Madison Square Garden. They also breezed to an easy 138 to 99 victory over…

The Milwaukee Bucks took a close one against the San Antonio Spurs, 121-111, on Sunday. The Bucks won by double figures, but they were also down by as much as 7 to the run-and-gun Spurs who showed their youth and team basketball with balanced play on both ends. That the game against the defending champions was this close is absolutely a credit to the Spurs’ young core and coaching staff. After once trailing by as much as 13, a furious 20-4 San Antonio run gave them a 77-74 lead towards the end of the third quarter. Ultimately, it was the…

Milwaukee Bucks, Kendrick Nunn (NBA Rumors)

As expected, a Bucks team missing its starting center, point guard, and virtually its entire bench were manhandled by a hungry Miami Heat team seeking revenge for its four-game drubbing in last year’s playoffs. The 1-1 record aside, it’s not all bad. As in the preseason games, where the defending champions absorbed a 1-4 win/loss record, it was the young Bucks that were given invaluable opportunities to shine. The results were a mixed bag. Here are a few things we noticed. Hill’s play for the Bucks is decent at best, for now After a season where veteran point guard George…
