The Green Bay Packers offense will look much different in 2023. The pending Aaron Rodgers trade will make headlines across the NFL when it happens. Rodgers declared his intentions to play for the Jets back in mid-March. While it is still presumed that the Jets are still the favorites to land Aaron Rodgers, multiple other teams have officially reached out regarding the four-time MVP. One of the biggest holdups in the trade talks is the compensation the Jets are reportedly willing to give up. It has been “laughable” to say the least. The Green Bay Packers may have more moves up their sleeve once that trade does finally go through.

Past trade proposals involving the Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals for DeAndre Hopkins have involved four draft picks. Only giving up one second round pick for a few years of an elite (when healthy) wide receiver seems like a slam dunk. Especially when the Green Bay Packers are likely to receive at least that in the Aaron Rodgers trade.
Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has stated this off-season that adding a veteran wide receiver is something they’d like to do. It may be a tall order for cash-strapped Packers. In this month’s draft, the Packers have been linked to several high-profile pass catchers. However, bringing in a difference-making veteran will cost Packers money. The Packers can find ways to be creative enough to bring in a veteran wide receiver if that’s their priority. But it could come at a cost to other needed positions on the roster.
