The Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets will have to wait at least one extra day before kicking off their 2024 regular season. Rain has pushed Opening Day for these two clubs back to Friday, March 29 with a 1:40 PM ET first pitch.

How can fans watch the Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets on Opening Day?
SNY and Bally Sports Wisconsin will broadcast the game in their local markets. WCBS 880 (New York) and WTMJ 620 (Milwaukee) will air the game on the radio.
What headlines should fans know going into this match up?
There will be lots of first on Opening Day. Both managers in Pat Murphy (Brewers) and Carlos Mendoza will be making their debuts. 10 Milwaukee players are on their first Opening Day rosters including star prospect Jackson Chourio. Freddy Peralta will be making his first Opening Day start. Also this is the first match up between the Brewers and Mets since David Stearns took over as president of baseball operations.
A few key players from each side will not be active for this contest.
On the Brewers side closer Devin Williams and outfielder Garrett Mitchell will not be active. Williams is recovering from stress fractures in his back and Mitchell a broken finger. From the Mets they are without ace Kodai Senga and also recently signed J.D. Martinez. Senga is out with a shoulder issue and Martinez is still ramping up after signing late into spring.
