The cold is settling in, the postseason is in sight, and the Green Bay Packers are a menace heading into the final weeks of the regular season. With 3 wins in a row against teams they could see in the future in an elimination game, there aren’t too many teams out there who want to face Jordan Love’s unstoppable offense at this time.
Beating the Lions on the road on Thanksgiving Day caught the attention of NFL fans, but the Packers’ triumph over the former Superbowl champs at home proved to everyone how lethal they can be against top notch teams. Green Bay’s offense has synergized, their defense can dismantle opponents, and the turnover differential is heavily in their favor; all key ingredients to a formulate a deep playoff run.
Green Bay Packers Beat The Best On The Hunt For The Postseason
A new challenger has appeared in the NFC after the Packers have turned their 2-5 start to a healthy 6-6 on an upswing of their season. Many counted them out right away with how out of sync Jordan Love was with his receivers and how they couldn’t find a way to finish a game strong.
Now, Green Bay’s explosive offense and controlling defense has created a problem for other teams hoping to reach the NFC championship game. The Packers shut down Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, they shut down Jared Goff and the Lions, and they have their eyes narrowed on their remaining opponents, mainly their division rival, the Minnesota Vikings.
There isn’t an NFC team that wants to play the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs. I can’t believe I’m saying this but it is true

Being able to fare well against pass-heavy teams like their former 2 opponents shows the Packers’ potential to dance toe-to-toe with the best the NFC has to offer. Philadelphia greatly relies on their attacks through the air with AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith, opening the door for Green Bay to do some damage should they face off in the postseason.
However, as the standings remain today, they’ll be traveling to San Francisco to take on Christian McCaffrey’s legendary run game. The Packers have yet to show how well they can stop the run, sitting at 27th in the league against the ground game and allowing an average of 135 yards per game. They’ll need to tighten things up in the box to give their secondary a chance to maintain their 9th overall average of allowing 205 passing yards per game.
The Packers’ final opponents will test their run defense with the Bears coming up in Week 18. Chicago sits at 3rd in the league in total rushing yards, largely from Justin Fields and D’Onta Foreman. If Green Bay can keep up the clock management they’ve displayed over the last few weeks, they’ll give any NFC team trouble headed into the playoffs.
