It’s Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love who’s making all sorts of headlines after his masterful display against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving.
After throwing 22 of 32 completed passes for 268 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions in this marquee matchup, it comes as absolutely no surprise that pundits and fans alike have been heaping praise on the young QB.
Jordan Love’s Immediate Reaction to Green Bay Packers’ Massive Win
Love spoke to Fox Sports’ Erin Andrews shortly after the game to share his rapid reaction to Green Bay’s massive win. The first thing on the 25-year-old’s agenda was sounding off on his team’s quick start — one that saw them mount a 20-6 lead after just one quarter of play:
“Yeah, I think just the chemistry we’re building on offense, just the way we work every day, throughout the week, it’s helping us come out here and just play fast, start fast, and just getting that rhythm and be comfortable with doing it,” Love said.
As Love said, Thursday’s all-around performance by the squad is a product of the hard work and sacrifice they put in behind the scenes.
After heaping praise on the team’s offense, Love also had to give credit to their defense on the evening. He made special mention of linebacker Rashan Gary for the veteran’s impactful game:
“It was an awesome performance by them,” Love said. “They were putting up a lot of pressure. [Rashan Gary] was at the quarterback every time. They got some big-time turnovers right there, so it was a huge performance by them.”
This was definitely a performance to remember for Love, and the fact that he turned it in when the lights were the brightest makes it extra special. Love himself agrees:
“This is definitely my favorite Thanksgiving memory,” he said. “Playing on Thanksgiving, getting a win here, I’m going to remember this one.”
