The Green Bay Packers have been waiting for a performance from Rashan Gary like this. In a huge Thanksgiving game against the Detroit Lions, Gary had three sacks and also forced a couple of fumbles with one of them leading to a touchdown. It is his second three-sack game of the season but first since he got the contract extension.
Rashan Gary's second three-sack game of the year. He's the first #Packers player to do that since Kyler Fackrell in 2018.

Green Bay Packers Rashan Gary Comes Up Big
It is Gary’s second three-sack game. That hasn’t been done by a Packers player since Kyler Fackrell back in 2018. This is the kind of disruptor that the Packers paid big money for. Gary came up huge in big moments. His fumble extended a lead and helped give the Packers a great cushion. He also had a sack-fumble on fourth down to kill a Lions drive. He didn’t play badly against the run either. This is exactly what fans wanted to see after Gary was given a big extension. Too often, players get paid and then do not live up to the contract. Gary is looking to be the leader of this defense.
Good Opportunities Coming Up
The Packers have some very winnable games coming up. While the Chiefs coming to town next week will be tough, games against the Giants, Bucs, Panthers, and Bears could give plenty more opportunities for Gary to rack up the sacks. He is almost in double digits thanks to two games alone. What is more encouraging is that Gary looks fully recovered from his ACL injury. This may have been the reason for his slow start but he looks very healthy now.
The Green Bay Packers have to be happy about what they are seeing out of Rashan Gary. A lot has been invested in this defense and they finally seem to be performing well.
