The Green Bay Packers have a big off-season ahead of them. The pending Aaron Rodgers trade has been making headlines across the NFL for months now. At some point, however, the Green Bay Packers will start looking to add outside help for the 2023 season and beyond. Packers GM Brian Gutekunst has already stated the team will certainly be interested in adding veterans through free agency. There is one specific veteran that the team has already been linked to.
Green Bay Packers Projected To Sign Pro Bowl Wide Receiver Jarvis Landry

Per ESPN’s Bill Barnwell:
“Relying on general manager Brian Gutekunst & Co. to acquire a wide receiver has proved to be a fool’s errand over the past few offseasons, but it certainly seems like there’s a space for the Packers to add at least one veteran,” Barnwell wrote on March 29. “Richie James, who had 330 yards for the [New York] Giants over a six-game stretch at the end of 2022, is still a free agent, as is five-time Pro Bowler Jarvis Landry. The latter could be a replacement for Cobb in the slot.”
WR Jarvis Landry, who ranks as Pro Football Focus’ No. 35 remaining free-agent, spent four years with the Browns from 2018-21. During his time in Cleveland, Landry posted 288 catches for 3,560 yards and 15 touchdowns. Playing in the cold certainly didn’t phase the veteran wide receiver.
The 30-year-old is coming off a down year in 2022, however, where he played in a career-low nine games and had a career-worst 25 catches for 272 yards and one touchdown. This could create a very cap friendly contract for the Green Bay Packers. He signed a one-year, $3 million contract with the Saints last offseason and now that the nine-year veteran is still available almost three weeks removed from the start of free agency.
