While the Green Bay Packers’ major players have dropped their takes on what went wrong in their game against the San Francisco 49ers, receiver Christian Watson shares a bittersweet perspective about what the team is feeling.
Last Saturday night, the Packers went up against San Francisco and dominated most of the game. As noticed by ESPN analyst Rob Gronkowski, Green Bay dropped the ball in the final two minutes by making crucial mistakes that cost them the win.
Among these are Anders Carlson’s missed kick and Jordan Love’s pass that was intercepted in the closing stages of the game.
The Packers loss paved the way for San Francisco to advance in the NFL Playoffs. Meanwhile, the team is now setting its sights on signing free agents or scouting for new talent via the 2024 NFL Draft to improve its roster for next season.

Without a doubt, the Green Bay Packers have been through a lot this past season. Watson encapsulates that feeling and describes it for everyone to understand.
Speaking to the media, Watson said that ending was tough for them. He added that to look back and appreciate where they were and where they are now, they have a lot to be thankful for.
Moving further, Watson said that the team is entering the offseason with the right mentality and excitement for what his teammates are going to look like going forward.
“Obviously ending like that is tough for us. But just to look back and appreciate where we were at and where we are now, we have a lot to be thankful for, for sure,” Watson shared.
“I think the energy and vibe going into the offseason is definitely there. We have to take advantage of it, as well. We have a lot of guys that have the right mentality going into it, so we’re definitely excited for what we’re going to look like going forward.”
Left guard Elgton Jenkins, meanwhile, boldly claimed that Green Bay will win it all next season. He added that the team will get better as an offense and just trust the process.
