Current and Former Green Bay Packers Put Allen Lazard on Blast for Comments on Free Agency

The Green Bay Packers have several players that will be unrestricted free agents. One of them, Allen Lazard, has already stated that he believes he played his last game in Green and Gold. It is not that he holds any ill will towards the organization. In fact, he spoke very highly of it on a recent interview on Sirius XM NFL Radio.

"I've been very spoiled the past four or five years to be in the Packers organization."

Allen Lazard Says the Green Bay Packers Made Him Bougie

In fact, Lazard had nothing but praise for the Packers organization. He praised the way they treat their players, he praised his teammates, and he praised the fans fans:

“I’ve been very spoiled the past four or five years to be in the Packers organization. I think they’re obviously a first-class organization, just how they go about their relationship with the fans, how they treat the players. Just the whole experience there.

“Having coach [Matt] LaFleur and Nathaniel Hackett there the past few years and obviously having Aaron [Rodgers] as the quarterback, I’m almost sort of bougie, I feel like, in what I’m going to be wanting out of an organization. I have such high expectations. But that’s only because I’ve seen that and I’ve experienced that, and I think the record—minus last year, the three years before that—it kind of shows you why they’re able to have that success.”

It is the comment in bold that got Lazard blasted on Twitter by Rasul Douglas and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

All in good fun, I am sure.
