Earlier this week, the Green Bay Packers released kicker Brayden Narveson and signed kicker Brandon McManus. There was some backlash earlier in the week from the fanbase for the Packers signing him because of his off-the-field issues in the past with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
With Green Bay trailing 22-21 to the Houston Texans with five seconds remaining in regulation, McManus kicked a 45-yard field goal and drilled it as time expired. The Packers won the game over the Texans 24-22. This was a huge win for Green Bay as they improved to 5-2 on the season and Houston dropped to 5-2 on the season.

The Packers have to be excited about getting a clutch kick from a field goal kicker finally. There were excited Green Bay fans no doubt after the kick that gave them the win. Here is what Green Bay fans said on social media:

Of course, the Packers fanbase can’t help themselves and tweet about the Chicago Bears in a game the Green Bay Packers face the Houston Texans at home. Green Bay will face Chicago later this season.
Jacksonville Jaguars Next Opponent
The next opponent for the Green Bay Packers will be against the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-5) on the road next Sunday. Hopefully, this will be a game that doesn’t come down to another Brandon McManus field goal. He will also be facing his former team. This is a typical trap game for the Packers next week.
It is a game that they should win, but crazier things have happened in the NFL. Green Bay’s win was very big against a potential Super Bowl team in Houston this season.
