AJ Dillon missed the Green Bay Packers’ Wild Card showdown with the Dallas Cowboys due to his nagging neck injury. And by the looks of it, he’s in danger of missing out their next playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers.
While there is no official ruling yet on Dillon’s status, the Packers’ latest injury report won’t raise hopes up of his return. The 25-year-old running back was unable to participate in the team’s Tuesday practice as he continues to deal with the same injury that cost him the last two weeks.
Dillon also sat out their Week 18 game against the Chicago Bears because of his neck issue.
It remains to be seen when AJ Dillon will be able to return to practice, but even if he’s able to return by Thursday, it’s uncertain if he’ll have enough time to get his body back to game-shape for the crucial divisional round showdown with the 49ers.
The Green Bay Packers are back in action on Saturday, just six days after playing the Dallas Cowboys. The short turnaround time is definitely a curse for a team that played in the Wild Card and suffered multiple injuries in the process.
Green Bay Packers’ Injury Report Aside from AJ Dillon
In AJ Dillon’s absence, Aaron Jones stepped up for the Green Bay Packers and carried the offensive load on the ground during their Wild Card game. He had three touchdowns for the team as they obliterated the Dallas Cowboys, 48-32.
However, Jones also landed on the injury report with knee and finger injuries. He was a limited participant on Tuesday, but it’s still a concerning development.
Aside from Dillon, Kingsley Enagbare (who is feared to have a torn ACL), Elgton Jenkins, Isaiah McDuffie and Preston Smith had all been listed as DNP or Did Not Participate on Tuesday.
Hopefully, the Packers get some good news on the injury front moving forward.
