Former Green Bay Packers quarterback is sure off to an interesting start with the New York Jets. The Packers and New York Jets finalized their trade just a few days before the start of the 2023 NFL Draft. That also means the Jordan Love era is fully underway in Green Bay. Both quarterbacks showed up for voluntary off-season workouts and both seem to be excited about their opportunities in 2023. However, just a few days after the four-time MVP quarterback showed up in New York, it was reported he won’t be back for a while.
Green Bay Packers Fans React To Aaron Rodgers Being “No Show” For The Jets

According to Kristen Wong of Fansided:
Cause for concern? It’s common for veterans to skip voluntary offseason workouts, but given that Rodgers is starting on a new NFL team in 2023, one would think he would stay in New York for as much as possible to build chemistry and develop rapport with his Jets teammates.
NBC Sports’ Mike Florio compares Rodgers’ unbothered nonchalance to Patrick Mahomes’ gung-ho attitude toward OTAs:
Last year, Mahomes’s willingness to go well above and beyond the call helped prepare the team to move forward without Tyreek Hill. In addition to being present for the offseason workouts, Mahomes gathered pass-catchers in Dallas and shared his insights regarding their skills and abilities with the coaching staff.
Florio seems to suggest Rodgers isn’t setting up the Jets to succeed by taking himself out of offseason activities, and it’s hard to argue with that logic.
If Rodgers really cared about turning the Jets into a Super Bowl contender, he wouldn’t be jetting out west and wasting precious minutes this offseason. He wouldn’t even be giving Pat McAfee the time of day with these exclusive interviews because he would working with the Jets, day and night, to get the team where it needs and wants to be.
Once again, Aaron Rodgers is prioritizing off-season activities over spending time with the team. This has become something that Green Bay Packers fans are accustomed to. New York Jets fans, however, are new to this feeling. Both parties reacted on social media when this news was released.

If Rodgers thinks he can act the same in New York the fans will run him out of town this is not green bay
Here we go with this guy. Jet fans knew his notoriety about his dislike for practice, but they wanted him. Mahomes already has 2 SBs and had been to the big game 3 of the last 4 years. Aaron has one in what is it? 18 years? What does that tell you about his work ethic? He is in the AFC Conference now, I put him at 6th or 7th best. He will only slide down the chart even further as these other QBs improve. I don’t think they could beat Buffalo so that puts them at a 5 seed at best. I don’t believe they can compete. He was better off in a subpar NFC where he is a top 3 QB.
I been saying it for 2 years. This guy is toxic as Hell. Unfortunately, the Jets are going to find this out first hand. To bad for their fans. God help you, New York
