Ford’s Career With The Badgers
Aleem Ford played five season with the Badgers. He started his junior and senior year while also making some starts as a redshirt freshman. In his freshman year, he played in 33 games, averages 5.8 points a game, and shot 40.9% from three. He took a dip his sophomore as he only averaged 13.8 minutes a game and averaged only 3.1 points a game.
Ford became a full time starter his junior and senior years and played pretty well. However, we never really saw him play at a consistent level. It was either a really solid game or a poor game. When he was on in games, he was really tough to stop. In his senior year, Ford averaged 8.7 points a game, 4.2 rebounds a game, 1.1 assists a game, and shot 40.6% from the field. His stats were pretty consistent his final 2 years
Overall
Overall, I am really happy to see Aleem Ford get an opportunity to play basketball at the next level. Any time a young player gets that opportunity, it’s good to see them take advantage of it. After Ford decided to not come back to Wisconsin and not go into the transfer portal, I had a feeling this was a route he would go. Best of luck to Aleem in his next steps!
