Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo led the charge for Greece on Monday as they took on Nikola Jokic and the Serbian national side. This was nothing more than a tune-up game ahead of the Paris Olympics, but with two of the top superstars in the NBA today taking part in the contest, you just knew that there was more to this one than just an ordinary exhibition matchup.
In the end, however, it was Serbia who prevailed, 94-72, in what turned out to be a disappointing blowout loss for Giannis and Co.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Message for Giannis Antetokounmpo
Despite the defeat, Antetokounmpo was still able to put up a team-high 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting, to go along with six rebounds, four assists, and a steal in 25 minutes of action. It was far from a stellar performance from the former back-to-back MVP, but there’s no denying that Giannis still had his moments in this one.
So much so, that the Bucks decided to send their talisman a strong message via X, formerly Twitter.
“You can’t stop him, you can only hope to contain him,” read the tweet.

Giannis did all he could for Greece on Monday, but it just wasn’t enough as Jokic (16 points, eight rebounds, six assists) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (19 points, five triples) led Serbia to an impressive victory against the Greeks.
Antetokounmpo and the rest of his team will need to be much better than they were on Monday if they hope to make a serious push for a gold medal in the upcoming Olympics.
