Davante Adams made big headlines from his interview in The Ringer this week regarding his time with the Las Vegas Raiders. David Bakhtiari gave his thoughts on the matter shortly after the report dropped.
Adams reportedly was frustrated by the media narrative that it was Aaron Rodgers who made Adams successful. Adams said he proved last season he didn’t need Rodgers, or any quarterback, to make him worthy of being an All-Pro wide receiver.
Adams and Rodgers were incredible relics of the Packers’ robust NFC North dynasty team during the last decade. That core of Packers players has been dwindling over the course of the previous few offseasons, and with the transformation going on in Green Bay this year, one would assume great stories will be coming out about that period of the Packers. It was a group of incredible NFL athletes that couldn’t achieve the glory that Rodgers had made with the franchise in 2010.
David Bakhtiari sends a message to Davante Adams
The group of stars, including Bakhtiari, are pretty vocal with the media. Bakhtiari made sure to comment on his thoughts on Adams needing Rodgers. He sent a strong message of support to Adams on Twitter:
“You didn’t have to leave me to prove this @tae15adamsI believed you. But glad you silenced any doubt your way. #Top7not7,” Bakhtiari wrote.

Bakhtiari knows Adams is an incredible talent. He saw Adams up close every day in practice. Adams has earned the right to say he doesn’t need Rodgers. Does he need a quarterback? That we’ll see with Jimmy Garoppolo this year. There’s a reason Adams is frustrated with his current situation at quarterback.
