David Bakhtiari has been vocal on social media this week amid a transitional offseason for him and the Green Bay Packers. A recent post with former Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers is catching much attention this weekend.
Bakhtiari made some interesting posts not long after the Packers’ schedule release video went public. He called the footage “booty cheeks” and made some aggressive statements toward the team’s Vice President of Communications, Jason Wahlers. The remarks came amid widespread speculation that Bakhtiari could be traded this offseason. The New York Jets are one team Bakhtiari is rumored to be interested in being traded to. Bakhtiari is a known friend of current Jets quarterback Rodgers. And a recent viral Tweet saw the two players team up again this offseason.

David Bakhtiari makes a statement on Twitter
Bakhtiari quote tweeted a post by the account unusual_whales regarding Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein. Feinstein’s family has been in the news for years because of money they’ve made in unusual trades. Bakhtiari asked how US citizens can be “cool” with actions from politicians like Feinstein, who can use information from committee briefings to make smart trades in their respective portfolios.
How are we as a nation just “cool” with actions like this? It’s cheating in broad daylight. https://t.co/B4JEUe0Fx1

Aaron Rodgers gives his support to Bakhtiari
Not long after Bakhtiari posted the message about Feinstein, Rodgers sent Bakhtiari a message gif of support that indicated the star left tackle is waking up.
“Finally, Dave,” Rodgers sent.
Bakhtiari thanked Rodgers for his support with the hashtag “woke.”
Ima be honest, I thought you were a troll account with your new photo and header with no blue check. Thanks brother. #woke https://t.co/miA1wAo4Ei

Rodgers and Bakhtiari are teaming up to spread awareness of problems with integrity in politics. Bakhtairi understands the issues go deeper than one Democrat Senator. A 2022 New York Times report named 97 members of Congress, from both Democrat and Republican parties, who reported trades that were impacted by the Committee they chaired. Bakhtiari thinks there should be more than two parties representing the country.
The two former Packers teammates are staying close together this offseason. They were seen at a reunion not long ago. We’ll see if they wind up teaming up in New York this season.
