After a 38-17 win in their first game of the 2023 season, the Wisconsin Football team now begins preparation for week two. This week, they will travel to Pullman Washington for a battle with the Washington State Cougars.
Earlier today, the Badger releases their depth chart for this week. There are a few changes from last week. Below is the depth chart for this game.

Wisconsin Football Depth Chart Week 2 Takeaways

I think the biggest takeaway from this depth chart is at wide receiver on the second team. This week, it is listed as Skyler Bell OR Vinny Anthony. Bell did take some heat from the Buffalo game after dropping a wide open touchdown pass from Tanner Mordecai. Bell did finish the game with three catches for 14 yards.
This didn’t stand out to me, but the inside linebacker battle of Jordan Turner and Jake Chaney remains the same. However, Turner will miss the first half of the Washington State game as a result of a targeting penalty in the Buffalo game. This is potentially a big opportunity for Jake Chaney. The coaching staff has raved about him all summer. He will now get an opportunity to have the first team reps to himself for an entire half. If he plays well, it’s worth noting for next week’s depth chart and moving forward.
All in all, it’s a similar Wisconsin Football depth chart to last week. Thankfully there were no major injuries so there is very few changes this week.
