According to reports, there is some pessimism surrounding Damian Lillard’s availability for Game 5 against the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday. The eight-time All-Star was forced to sit out Milwaukee’s Game 4 loss on Sunday due to an Achilles injury, and it now appears that he is heading in the same direction for Tuesday’s clash.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Damian Lillard Could Miss Second Straight Game
The Bucks have officially listed Lillard as doubtful to play in Game 5 due to tendinitis in his right Achilles. It’s the same injury that forced him to it out Sunday’s brutal loss, and it seems like this is going to be the case again on Tuesday night when Milwaukee looks to stave off elimination against a very hungry Pacers side.
The Bucks have submitted their first injury report for Game 5 on Tuesday.
Doubtful
Giannis Antetokounmpo (left soleus strain)
Damian Lillard (right Achilles tendinitis)Probable
Patrick Beverley (right oblique muscle strain)
Khris Middleton (right ankle sprain)— Eric Nehm (@eric_nehm) April 29, 2024
As indicated in the report, the Bucks are likely going to be without Giannis Antetokounmpo for Game 5 as well, which means that similar to Game 4, Milwaukee probably won’t have their two best players available come Tuesday night. Khris Middleton is far from a hundred percent, too.
The Pacers cruised to victory against a shorthanded Bucks side on Sunday, and while the Bucks will have home-court advantage in Game 5, the odds stacked against them might just be too much to overcome.
