The Wisconsin football staff has snagged another top in-state recruit in the 2025 recruiting class with a quick commitment.
Torin Pettaway, a Middleton native, has officially announced his commitment to the Wisconsin football team. Pettaway has held a crystal ball prediction for Wisconsin for months now, but waited until the end of his basketball season to decide. The Badgers have now picked up their ninth commitment in the 2025 recruiting class with Pettaway joining.
Wisconsin Football Lands Commitment From Three-Star Defensive Lineman Torin Pettaway
The Wisconsin football staff has landed another commitment in their 2025 recruiting class as the talented athlete Torin Pettaway has joined the squad. Pettaway is a three-star recruit from Wisconsin, and has now chosen to stay in-state after plenty of consideration.
Coming in at 6-foot-5-inches, Pettaway is a physical beast and provides incredible speed for his size and position. The defensive lineman is also an accomplished basketball player, but has no intentions of playing both sports at the collegiate level simultaneously.
Pettaway is now the third in-state recruit the Wisconsin football team has landed this cycle.
Wisconsin Badgers Football Adds Another Commitment To The 2025 Class
With Pettaway joining the 2025 recruiting class for Wisconsin football, the Badgers now have nine recruits who have made verbal hard commitments. The Badgers have also snagged three top-ten in-state recruits which is a pleasant boost for the staff after their struggles the previous year in their own state. Wisconsin football still has their sights set on big names in the 2025 class, which could be something to watch for in the near future.
How can Pettaway Find a Path To The Field as a Freshman
For Pettaway, the name of the game to get playing time is hard-work on the field and in the weight room. The Wisconsin football team gives players who work hard and showcase their skills off the field the most playing time as a reward. Pettaway will need to earn his way onto the field, and with a tough defensive line group, it could prove to be a difficult task for the young athlete.
