Wisconsin Football Adds Commitment From Stellar 2025 Three-Star Offensive Tackle

While Wisconsin football has struggled on the field, off the field, the staff has added another solid commitment from an in-state offensive tackle.

Michael Roeske, a three-star offensive tackle in the 2025 recruiting class, has committed to the Wisconsin football team. The commitment from Roeske comes a day after the Badgers lost arguably their worst game of the season against the Northwestern Wildcats. Roeske held offers from Michigan, Kansas, and Illinois, but chose to stay in-state with Wisconsin.

Wisconsin Football Gains Commitment Despite On-Field Loss Against Northwestern

The Wisconsin football team has secured their third commitment of the 2025 recruiting class after Michael Roeske has announced his intentions. Both Remington Moss and Landyn Locke join him in the class for the Badgers, with Roeske being the highest-rated recruit.

Roeske, a 6-foot-7-inch, 260-pound offensive lineman, is a versatile player that the Badgers had been eyeing for quite some time. Roeske is a natural tackle with the ability and versatility to play offensively and defensively if needed. The Badgers see Roeske as an anchor on the offensive line, which could truly become his future with the right help.

The offensive tackle has tremendous natural strength and size which allows him to move the majority of defenders that line up across him. Roeske eats swim moves and holds his blocks in both pass protection and run situations. The Wisconsin football team could certainly use the skill set that Roeske provides in the near future.

Can Wisconsin Badgers Football Land More Commitments Before 2023 Ends?

While Wisconsin has been struggling on the field, the hope is that the staff can make-up for it off the field. The Badgers currently have three recruits in their 2025 class and 21 commitments in their 2024 class. Ideally, Wisconsin would like to pick up another commitment in the 2024 recruiting class before fully committing to 2025.

For the Badgers, recruiting is going to be key as the staff continues to shape the team into the mold they wish. Thus far, the first season under Head Coach Luke Fickell has not gone anywhere near what the staff and fans had wished for. However, the only way to turn the program around and get back on course is by bringing in the proper talent.

Wisconsin football has been a long-standing program with plenty of traditions involving success. Fickell is no stranger to success, but clearly needed more time than he had thought to build the team everyone had been wishing for. Ideally, Wisconsin football can return to their ways of success with the help of another talented recruiting class.

While the Badgers may have their eyes on some other recruits in both the 2024 and 2025 class, it is unlikely anyone else will commit this season.
