The Wisconsin football staff has received great news recently regarding their recruitment of a top 2025 class target.
Isaiah West, a 2025 running back from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has been a priority target for the Wisconsin Badgers as of late. West is a dynamic running back who has garnered plenty of interest from other major programs over the course of the last few months. Penn State, Kentucky, South Carolina, and North Carolina have all been heavily involved with the recruit since offering scholarships.
Wisconsin Football Receives Crystal Ball For Running Back Isaiah West
The Wisconsin football staff has been busy eagerly recruiting the 2025 class after securing signatures from the majority of their 2024 class. Among the recruits Wisconsin has been heavily interested in as of late is Pennsylvania native Isaiah West. West is a dynamic running back who has recently burst onto the recruiting scene in the 2025 class.
Coming in at 5-feet-11-inches, 205-pounds, West is a dense, physical running back that is not afraid to use his body and initiate contact. The talented running back also has a background as an outside linebacker on defense, and often uses that physicality to his advantage as he runs over opposing defenders. Wisconsin football, among plenty of other programs, has fallen in love with the physicality that West displays as a rusher.
A Look Ahead: Will the Wisconsin Badgers Football Staff Land West Over Penn State, Others?
While Wisconsin football may currently hold a crystal ball prediction in favor of landing West, there have been other programs equally as active as the Badgers. Big Ten Conference rival Penn State has shown plenty of interest in West following an unofficial visit this past summer and a scholarship offer. However, with two four-star running back commitments in the 2025 class already, it is unlikely West will join them on the Nittany Lions.
The program that has truly begun to make a difference in the recruitment of West is the Kentucky Wildcats. Kentucky currently has five upperclassmen running backs on their roster and limited remaining offers available in the 2025 recruiting class. As striking out elsewhere, the Wildcats have set their sights on West and plan on bringing the recruit in for a visit shortly.
Wisconsin football certainly has a tough task ahead of them as they have multiple programs closing in on one of their priority recruits. However, West only holds ten scholarship offers and despite heavy interest from some programs, it is unlikely he will change his mind given the current relationship he has with the staff.
Wisconsin Football Aiming for First Running Back Commitment in the 2025 Class
After landing three running backs in the 2024 recruiting class, Wisconsin football is still searching for their first positional commitment in the 2025 class. While West has been a major target for the Wisconsin Badgers staff thus far, there are other recruits in their sights as well.
Four-star running back Tory Blaylock has been a priority target for the Wisconsin football staff in the 2025 class thus far given his incredible skill. As great as Blaylock is, however, the running back has fallen out of focus for the Badgers after receiving a crystal ball for Oklahoma. It is still early in his recruitment, and Wisconsin could still make an impact on the recruit.
