Wisconsin football will be looking to rebound tomorrow afternoon as they travel to Bloomington to take on the Indiana Hoosiers. Every game is a must win for the Badgers if they want to win the Big Ten West division.
The Hoosiers are struggling this season. They yet to win a Big Ten big and own a 206 record,. A win by Wisconsin would likely eliminate Indiana from bowl eligibility. Kick-off is scheduled for 11 AM CST on BTN. Here is a preview of tomorrow’s game.
Can Wisconsin Football Score if Braelon Allen is Out?
We are not sure if Wisconsin running back Braelon Allen will be available for tomorrow’s game. If Allen is unable to go, it will be Jackson Acker getting the workload and Cade Yacamelli getting snaps too. Allen is the best weapon on this offense. If he can’t go, Wisconsin will be looking for scoring elsewhere.
This is a game the wide receivers need to rebound regardless who is running the ball. Will Pauling and Skyler Bell had three crucial drops last week against Ohio State. Drops have been an issue for Bell all season. Indiana does not have a good defense, however.. I think Brayden Locke can have a nice afternoon against the secondary. The running game needs to be established right away.
Wisconsin Football Has to Win the Special Team Phase
Special teams were awful for the Badgers last week. For the fifth time this year, Wisconsin placekickers kicked the ball out of bounds that resulted in Ohio State getting great field position. It was a tough game for freshman Atticus Bertrams as well.
Indiana special teams have struggled the last two game. There has been a blocked punt and multiple muffed punts. For a team that struggles on offense and relies on big plays, it put the Hoosiers defense in a tough spot.
Prediction
Early looks have shown Wisconsin should roll in this game tomorrow. When you looks at the stats and the games (if you’ve watched Indiana football), the Hoosiers are not good and Wisconsin should get a bounce back win.
I like where the Wisconsin football defense is at right now. A few weeks ago I likely would have said something different. As long as Wisconsin can prevent the big play and get off the field when they should, I think Indiana will have a tough time getting points.
If Braelon Allen and Chimere Dike can’t go, the Badgers would be without their top two running backs, starting quarterback, and one of their best receivers and special teams returners. If that’s the case, there is legitimate concern about this offense moving the ball.
I like what I saw from Brayden Locke in the second half last week. His stats won’t pop out, but he showed some nice flashes throwing and running the ball. He let the game come to him and took what was given to him.
I think the receiving game gets going tomorrow, It’s a bad secondary for a defense that as given up the most touchdowns in the Big Ten. I think the offensive line holds their own as well. Give me the Badgers in a road win tomorrow.
