Wisconsin football opens fall camp ahead of its 2023 season today. The current Badgers are focused on the season immediately in front of them. Meanwhile, the coaching staff has been multitasking, adding a second recruit in their 2025 class.
Remington Moss Commits to Wisconsin Football
Remington Moss committed to head coach Luke Fickell and his staff Wednesday morning.
The defensive back prospect announced his decision a few days after visiting Madison on July 29. Initially offered in November of 2022 by the Badgers staff under interim head coach Jim Leonhard, Moss was re-offered by the current staff in May. Safeties coach Colin Hitschler and cornerbacks coach Paul Haynes lead his recruitment.

A three-star recruit, according to Rivals, the Fredericksburg, Virginia native plays multiple positions in the secondary. His film shows an ability to jump routes and make explosive plays as a safety, physical press-man coverage, and tight man-to-man coverage as a boundary corner.
Although he is currently unranked by 247Sports, the six-foot-two-inch, 175-pound standout will likely prove to be one of the most coveted prospects from Virginia in his class. Moss picked Wisconsin football over a list of 26 other suitors. Among them, he received scholarship offers from power conference programs Boston College, Duke, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Michigan State, North Carolina State, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia.
Wisconsin Football Recruiting: State of the 2025 Class
Moss joins Landyn Locke as the second commitment of Wisconsin’s 2025 recruiting class. The quarterback from Rockwall, Texas, committed to the Badgers in June. The younger brother of redshirt freshman UW quarterback Braedyn Locke is currently unranked but projects to be a coveted prospect. The Badgers have offers out to several targets in the 2025 class.
