Milwaukee Brewers sophomore Brice Turang is off to a tremendous start. The elite defending second baseman made a mark with his glove last year while also stealing 26 bases. Unfortunately he only got on base at a .285 percent clip and he did not contribute as well as he would have liked offensively. This year things are looking much different.
During the off-season Brice Turang switched his bat and put on 20 lbs.
Per Michael Baumann of Fangraphs Brice Turang managed to put on 20 lbs last off-season. In addition to getting stronger he also switched bats and now uses a puck knob at the end. Interestingly he grew to like this style of bat due to his old bats getting lost in the mail, but so far he has seen a huge increase in his ability to make contact.

Brice Turang currently holds the Milwaukee Brewers franchise record for most consecutive steals without getting caught.
On Friday, April 26 against the New York Yankees Brice Turang stole his 13th base of the season. He is among the league leaders in this category and now has successfully stolen 30 bags in a row. Per Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel this streak started on July 15 of last year and is a Brewers franchise record.
30 consecutive stolen bases is also a current league record.
Recently Trea Turner of the Philadelphia Phillies had a streak of 41 consecutive stolen bases without being caught snapped. Vince Coleman has the all time record with 50. With Turner’s streak being snapped Turang is now the league leader for most consecutive stolen bases without being caught.
