The Wisconsin football schedule was released this morning on Fox Sports Big Noon Kickoff. The schedule will consist of eight regular season games. There will be a ninth game against a crossover opponent if a team doesn’t make the Big Ten Championship Game December 19.
October
Wisconsin will open the season October 24 at home against Illinois. It is unclear if there will be fans in the stands at Camp Randall Stadium. Regardless, this should a convincing win to start the season. The Badgers will then travel to Nebraska on October 31. Nebraska is never an easy place to play. However, I see Wisconisn gutting out a road win and starting the season 2-0 heading into November
November
Wisconsin will begin the November portion of the schedule November 7 at home against Purdue. It will interesting to see if Purdue star Rondale Moore will play after opting out of the season initially. Regardless if Moore plays, Wisconisn shouldn’t have an issue with Purdue.
Wisconisn will play their next two games on the road. The Badgers will play at Michigan November 14 and Northwestern November 21. These are going to be two very difficult road games with not a lot of points scored.
Wisconsin will end the month home against Minnesota November 28. This is the Paul Bunyan’s Ax game and should be a physical game. Wisconsin went on the road last season and embarrassed Minnesota on their home field. Minnesota will be looking for revenge and always play tough under coach P.J. Fleck.
December
Wisconsin will begin the December schedule at home against Indiana December 5. This was the original home opener for the Badgers. Wisconsin will conclude the schedule December 12 at Iowa. This game could potentially decide who represents the Big Ten West in the Big Ten Championship the following week.
