It took a while, but the first Wisconsin Badgers have been selected in the 2022 NFL Draft. Both players are going to teams that have been and will be Super Bowl contenders for the foreseeable future.

Pick #103- Leo Chenal (LB): Kansas City Chiefs

Leo Chenal burst onto the scene this past season for the Wisconsin Badgers. As a junior, Chenal posted 115 total tackles and 8.0 sacks. He also forced two fumbles. Additionally, Chenal had 18.5 tackles for loss.

On being drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs, Chanel had this to say:

Leo Chanel: "I'm going to be one of the most violent guys on the field all the time."

Leo added he can't wait to be part of the "run it back" and winning culture in KC. #Chiefs

The Los Angeles Rams had zero picks in the first and second rounds of the 2022 NFL Draft. Their first pick was the 104th overall pick in the third round. They used this pick to take Wisconsin’s Logan Bruss.
