With the development of Davante Adams being traded to the Oakland Raiders, the Packers are expected to re-sign corner back Rasul Douglas with the money that they will save. Adams was placed under the franchise tag, which carried a salary cap hit of $20 million. Obviously, that is more than enough to re-sign Rasul Douglas, who had a breakout season with the Packers in 2021.
I'm told CB Rasul Douglas is currently* expected to return to the #Packers, pending money freeing up after the Davante Adams trade to the #Raiders becomes official, per league source.

Rasul Douglas, who was signed mid-season off of the Arizona Cardinals practice squad, has been wanting to get a deal done with the Packers. However, he and the team were waiting to see what happened with the Davante Adams trade talks.
The Best Secondary in Football?
With the return of Douglas, the Packers boast corners Eric Stokes, Jaire Alexander, and Douglas. With these three in place, the Packers will have a candidate for the bet secondary in the entire NFL. Add in Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage, and the Packers should be one of the toughest teams to throw on in 2022.
The New Contract
Rasul Douglas has re-signed with the Packers on a three year contract.
Sources: The #Packers have agreed to terms with veteran DB Rasul Douglas, giving him a 3-year deal. He cashes in on his playmaking season.
