The Packers get a receiver back before their Week 9 game
Tuesday’s trade deadline was a big bust for the Green Bay Packers. The team missed out on nabbing one of the many wide receivers on the trade market before a must-win Detroit Lions game. The disappointment was spread around the team’s roster and the fanbase. It was incredibly frustrating for the team as the Packers suffered another injury at wide receiver on Sunday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills.
Fortunately for the Packers, they will get significant help at practice as the team’s leading wide receiver returns from injury. According to Zach Jacobson with CBS Sports, head coach Matt LaFleur said Allen Lazard will be back at practice this week.
Allen Lazard will be back at practice today, per Matt LaFleur. There’s your trade deadline addition.

Lazard sustained a shoulder injury during the Packers’ loss to the Washington Commanders in Week 8. He was ruled out of that game and was placed on the Packers’ inactive list against the Bills. Having him back would greatly improve quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Packers’ offense.
Two players aren’t practicing Wednesday
Sounds like Allen Lazard will return to practice, but De’Vondre Campbell and Elgton Jenkins won’t, according to LaFleur.

Per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, linebacker De’Vondre Campbell and OL Elgton Jenkins are not practicing Wednesday. Campell was injured not long after his teammate, rookie linebacker Quay Walker was ejected for shoving a member of the Bills’ sideline. Jenkins was inactive for the Packers against the Bills. Jenkins was battling a knee injury earlier in the year. However, he missed the Week 8 game due to a toe injury. It’s unclear if they will be able to play in the Lions game this week.
