Milwaukee Bucks news: You can be sure that up and until Giannis Antetokounmpo makes a clear-cut statement about his desire to remain in Milwaukee, trade rumors are going to be hounding the former back-to-back MVP all summer long.
This comes as no surprise considering how the past two seasons have resulted in early first-round exits for the Bucks. At this point, fans and pundits alike can’t help but question Antetokounmpo’s level of loyalty to the organization amid the turmoil.
Milwaukee Bucks News: ‘No Rumblings’ on Giannis Antetokounmpo Wanting to Leave
In a recent appearance on ESPN’s Get Up program, league insider Briand Windhorst dropped a crucial update on what the future may hold for Giannis and the Bucks. The Milwaukee faithful will be glad to know that Antetokounmpo does not appear to be considering a summer exit — at least according to Windy’s sources.
This comes via Joseph Zucker of Bleacher Report:
“There have been ‘no rumbles’ pointing toward Giannis Antetokounmpo contemplating his future with the Milwaukee Bucks, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.
“Windhorst said Monday on Get Up that “we’ll see how the offseason plays out,'” wrote Zucker.
Brian Windhorst is a very reliable source, which means that Bucks fans can rest easy — for now. The plugged-in reporter did hint, though, that things could change quickly in Milwaukee as the offseason progresses, which brings us all back to square one.
As he’s done in years past, it seems that only a sweeping declaration from Giannis will dispel all of these rumors linking him to what could be a landscape-shifting move away from Milwaukee.
