The Green Bay Packers lost their fourth straight game of the season against the Buffalo Bills Sunday night. Packers fans were upset throughout most of the game. A few upset fans took to Twitter to vent their frustrations at members of the Packers organization. Some of the comments after an injury disappointed Christian Watson‘s mom. Christian Watson sustained a brain injury during the first quarter. Packers staff ruled him out with a concussion shortly after. Following his diagnosis, some Packers fans left rude messages on Twitter.

Get this man out of here. I don’t know as many rookie receivers that have been hurt as much as him that were drafted this year. And people trust Gute with making picks. Smh https://t.co/92nAcYH0td

This is just a sample; there were a lot more mean-spirited tweets following Watson’s injury.

Christian Watson’s mom responded on Twitter following injury

Christian Watson’s mom, Christa Lynn, wasn’t happy with what she was reading online. Concussions are serious injuries and can have long-term repercussions for people who suffer them. Here are some of the messages she sent to defend her son and call out toxic Packers fans:

Watching this replay of my son’s injury was tough enough. I have read some of the most unbelievably disgusting posts and comments from “fans”. Absolutely disgusting. I pray for you, I truly do 🙏 you’re going to need it. Thank God my son’s neck wasn’t broken. https://t.co/7PIAtuSn7V

    Who hurt you? https://t.co/vxSrw9Ar2b

And you have 11 whole followers. Doesn’t look like anyone cares what you have to say either. If I’m being honest. Oh… and it’s “pass”. Have a great day! https://t.co/Ld0Dg8nnxu

An overwhelming number of people on this app need prayer 🙏

    — Christa Lynn (@Christalynn0919) October 31, 2022

Watching your team struggle certainly isn’t fun. But it’s important to remember that these players are people and have families too. The rookie would have absolutely loved to play if he could. However, Watson suffered the worst injury you can have playing the sport. Good for Christian Watson’s mom to call those fans out.

Mom, let your son grow up. Yes, he is lucky he didn’t break his neck, but every NFL player faces that same risk. He has been a waste of a draft pick because he is always “hurt” and can’t play. Maybe he should have chosen another career. One in which his mom doesn’t have to defend him.
