Stefon Diggs sent reporters and the Buffalo Bills a strong message after NFL news circulated Monday that the star wide receiver wanted to be traded to a new team this season.
Diggs was reported to have had a rocky relationship with the Bills since last season’s playoff loss. A video showed Diggs yelling at quarterback Josh Allen with the Cincinnati Bengals up big. Allen had to be consoled by a teammate to go into the locker room to meet with the team after the game.
Diggs reportedly had issues with the Bills during OTAs. A coach asked Diggs to leave practice early. Rumors circulated this spring that Diggs was discontented with the team.
Per McQuade Arnold with WSH Media, Stephen A Smith with ESPN reported Monday Diggs wants out of Buffalo, although Diggs plans to perform his duties in a professional manner and not force the Bills to make a trade. The Green Bay Packers, who could use a veteran wide receiver this season, would seem to have some interest in trading for Diggs if he were on the trade market.
Diggs responded to the report on Twitter Monday afternoon.
NFL News: Stefon Diggs sends Buffalo Bills a message
100% not true. I don’t know who the source is 😒 but I thought I nip this shit in the bud already,” Diggs wrote.

Diggs is vehemently denying the report publicly. That won’t make the questions go away, though. Diggs must keep his composure and show good body language throughout the season to quiet the doubters.
That means the Bills will have to win games. If they don’t, more rumors will come out.
