Updated NFL news has come out on Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs that has the internet speculating about his future with the team. Diggs was visibly upset after the Bills lost their Divisional Round matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals in the postseason in January. There seems to be a holdover with his frustrations.
One would think after a few months Diggs would calm down a little bit. He’s still a predominant part of the Bills offense and quarterback Josh Allen looks to him a lot. But that doesn’t seem to be the case in June.
According to a report published Saturday by Ben Volin with the Boston Globe, Diggs is still unsatisfied with his role on the Bills’ offense, especially in the playoffs:
“Diggs’s frustration is with his role in the offense and his voice in play-calling, per a league source close to the Bills’ locker room. He was visibly agitated at Allen during the 27-10 playoff loss to the Bengals, stormed out of the locker room almost immediately after the game, and didn’t attend any voluntary workouts this offseason.
The issues still hadn’t been resolved when the Bills reported for mandatory minicamp on Monday evening, as Diggs skipped Tuesday’s practice. Diggs’s agent, Adisa Bakari, told ESPN that Diggs reported for his physical on Monday night and did everything the team asked him to do, calling it an “in-house” issue, not contractual.”
Buffalo Bills fans react to the NFL news on Stefon Diggs
Fans reacted to the report on social media. Some fans were sympathetic to Diggs. Other fans think Diggs has it good with quarterback Josh Allen and he’d be even more miserable with a trade. Here are the best takes on Diggs wanting the ball more.
If Diggs can’t be happy with Josh Allen as his qb after living thru Kirk Cousins prioritizing Adam Thielen over him then it’s a good bet that Stefon Diggs will never be happy. Send his ass to play with Jimmy Garappolo for a year and lets see how thankful he’ll be for Josh Allen. https://t.co/890ChfzTYw

Diggs getting cranky. Reminds me of Rasheed Wallace. Great player but he does have a time limit to his chemistry with the team’s coaching/management. #BillsMafia https://t.co/zmwtTuZjmU

In three seasons with the Bills, Stefon Diggs has 484 targets, 338 receptions, 4,189 yards and 29 touchdowns…which I’m pretty sure would rank at the very top of the league.
Not sure what’s the issue with his role in the offense. https://t.co/DKXW2J6DtG
