The Los Angeles Rams have Aaron Donald under contract through the 2024 season. However, Dan Graziano with ESPN recently suggested the Rams could shop Donald on the market before the trade deadline if the team begins the season like they did last year.
WSH Media recently wrote about the Green Bay Packers’ potential to land Donald. It doesn’t seem likely in a transition year for the Packers. However, the Packers could see more of Donald if he falls to one team on this list. Here are the three best fits for Donald at the trade deadline.
3. Los Angeles Rams trade Aaron Donald to the Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals could use help on the interior defensive line. They currently have D.J. Reader and B.J. Hill projected as starters at defensive tackle. The Bengals’ pass rush in 2022 was one of the worst (17th out of 32 teams) of the teams who made the playoffs last season–adding Donald would help that.
Donald was a major reason the Rams won a Super Bowl over the Bengals two years ago. He might be the key to getting the Bengals the Lombardi Trophy next February. The Bengals have over $14 million in cap space, so if the Rams eat some of his 2022 salary, the trade could work.
