The 7th-seeded Green Bay Packers made history various times on Sunday when they took the field against the 2nd-seeded Dallas Cowboys, whether it be a team record they tied or broke or an individual record that that a player set. It seemed that the touted Cowboys defense that had showed for Dallas all year, had suddenly disappeared.
The Packers are the first team in the National Football League’s history to advance to the Divisional Round of the playoffs despite being a 7th-seed. In the game, the Packers jumped out to 27-0 lead thanks to running back Aaron Jones who scored 2 of his 3 touchdowns in the game on the Packers’ first couple of drives putting the Packers up 14-0. Packers quarterback, Jordan Love also threw for a touchdown to Dontayvion Wicks making it 20-0 with a missed extra point. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott would be intercepted on the followed drive by Packers safety Darnell Savage who returned for a touchdown. Right before the half, the Cowboys would score, making it 27-7, in favor of the Packers.

The Packers came out after the half and continued to pile it on the Cowboys. Following a Dallas field goal, Aaron Jones rushed for his third rushing touchdown. He would finish the day with 118 yards on 21 carries and a reception for 13 yards.
Speaking of the passing game, Jordan Love went 16/21 for just 272 yards on 3 touchdowns with a near perfect passer rating of 157.2. Romeo Doubs was the main target as he 6 receptions for 151 yards and a touchdown, tight end Luke Musgrave had 3 receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown, and Dontayvion Wicks had 2 receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown. Receivers Bo Melton and Christian Watson were relatively quiet in the game with just a catch each.
If The Green Bay Packers, Led by Jordan Love Through The Playoffs Continue To Play Like This, They Could Make It To The Super Bowl.
The Packers put the league on notice with the win against the Cowboys. However, what is even more impressive is the way they went about winning the game. This was the first game all year where the Packers had every single receiver healthy and they put up 48 points. However, they still didn’t have AJ Dillon for the game. Instead, the second running back was Patrick Taylor when Aaron Jones needed a breather. It is hard to think that if the Packers have all their pieces healthy, they could go toe-to-toe with anyone in the National Football League.
Another thing that should be discussed is a Jordan Love extension. He has proven his worth to the Packers and the fanbase and it’s clear he is loved by them. It should be no surprise to anyone if the Packers the Packers give Jordan Love a new deal as he is the Packers quarterback of the future. He has gone from that first-round pick that no Packers fan thought was going to succeed to potential future Packers legend in just one season starting for the Green Bay.
