The New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers have gotten to be familiar with each other this year. Not only did the Packers host the Patriots in joint practices, they played each other in a pre-season game.
Bill Belichick does his homework no matter where he goes, and that was no different when he came to Green Bay. So much so that when the Packers released a player, Belichick was there to scoop him up.
The New England Patriots Sign Former Green Bay Packers Running Back Patrick Taylor

Mark Daniels of MassLive reports that former Green Bay Packers running back Patrick Taylor will join the New England Patriots’ practice squad.
It is clear that Taylor, 25, is adding some more size to the New England Patriots’ running back mix, standing at 6 feet 2 inches and weighing 217 pounds. In the last month, he has bounced between the active roster and the practice squad since signing with the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2020.
During his career, Taylor appeared in 27 games for the Packers, rushing for 151 yards and scoring once. In addition to 70 offensive snaps with Green Bay this season, he also played 31 special teams snaps.

In light of the Packers’ usage of running back this season, it’s possible Taylor grew tired of switching between 53-man roster and practice squad.
Currently, the Packers have Emmanuel Wilson, Aaron Jones, and A.J. Dillon on their 53-man roster, and Robinson on their practice squad as a backup option.
