NBA news: Brandon Jennings is not your typical basketball player. We all learned that this man was special when he dropped 55 points in just his seventh game in the NBA. As it turns out, however, no other person in the world thinks more highly of the former Milwaukee Bucks guard than Brandon Jennings himself.

Brandon Jennings has come out with his fair share of audacious statements in the past. Well, he just dropped a fresh one in a recent episode of the No Chill With Gilbert Arenas podcast, and this might be the one that takes the cake.
According to Jennings, he firmly believes that he’s the most influential player to come out of California. The host clarified if he was talking about a specific region, to which the 33-year-old came out with an irrefutable response:
“No, the entire state — California,” he said. “Everybody. Top to bottom. I just felt like California basketball was down for a period of time until I made the decision to go to Oak Hill and to put us on a broader stage in front of everybody. So I felt like I had to go to the East Coast to show that we ain’t no punks. … I just felt like my influence for California guards, out of everybody, I just feel like I’m the best.”

Unsurprisingly, Jennings’ audacious statement garnered all sorts of reactions from the mean streets of Twitter. Clearly, a lot of keyboard warriors do not agree with the former Bucks star:
