Milwaukee Brewers prospect Mike Boeve may be one of the most underrated prospects in baseball.

In college at Nebraska-Omaha Mike Boeve became known as a contact oriented hitter who also excelled at drawing walks. Since joining the Brewers we’ve seen his power unlock a little bit as he has six home runs since joining the organization. He hit just 13 across three NCAA seasons. More importantly is the fact that Boeve’s game is translating to affiliated baseball and he is starting to look like the biggest steal of last year’s draft.

A future Milwaukee Brewers combination of Mike Boeve and Brock Wilken is not out of the question.

Selected ahead of Boeve last year in the first round was Brock Wilken. Wilken and Boeve played together last year with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and now are teammates again with the Shuckers. Both are naturally third basemen, but Boeve has been utilized at first base and second base as well. These two are both playing extremely well in which Wilken recently returned from a scary injury and hit his first home run of the season. It’s possible that they could advance through the minor leagues together and be a future staple in the Brewers lineup.
