NBA news: There are more than a few point guards in Milwaukee Bucks franchise history that have made their mark on their team in one way or another. One particular player that stands out in the hearts and minds of the Bucks faithful, however, is Brandon Jennings. Even Giannis Antetokounmpo would agree with this notion. So much so, that the Milwaukee superstar is now campaigning for Jennings’ NBA comeback.
NBA News: Giannis Antetkounmpo Demands Contract for Brandon Jennings
It has now been five long years since we last saw Jennings on an NBA basketball court. However, what is clear is that at 33 years old, this dude can still hoop.
A video of Jennings showing off his skills on the court is currently making its rounds on social media. Giannis himself came across the clip, and the Bucks talisman just had to make a bold statement about Jennings potentially making a return to the NBA:
“Someone give this guy a contract. Sheeshhhh 🔥” Giannis wrote in his tweet.

Giannis need not look very far in terms of an NBA team that could potentially give Jennings a new contract. After all, not only did the 6-foot-1 point guard cut his teeth in the league with the Bucks, but it also so happens that Milwaukee was Jennings’ last team before he decided to play abroad in 2018. The Bucks could use a backup point guard, and now that Antetokounmpo has spoken, perhaps the front office will actually consider taking a look at Brandon Jennings as a potential free-agent signing.
NBA News: Brandon Jennings’ Bucks Stint Was Good While It Lasted
Jennings started his NBA career as the Bucks’ 10th overall pick in 2009. He earned All-Rooke honors in his debut season, which was highlighted by a career-high 55-point explosion in just his seventh game for Milwaukee. Jennings had arguably his best stint in the NBA while playing with the Bucks. He spent four years with the Bucks early in his career before they traded him to the Detroit Pistons for Khris Middleton, Brandon Knight, and Viacheslav Kravtsov.
During his first stint with the Bucks (he rejoined the team in 2017), Jennings played 291 games for the squad. He produced averages of 17.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 1.5 steals, while also knocking down 1.9 three-pointers per contest.
