NBA news: Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter of all time. However, the Golden State Warriors icon was given a run for his money by none other than WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu after the New York Liberty guard put forth the greatest 3-Point Contest performance ever during the WNBA All-Star weekend.

After scoring a record-breaking 37 points in the final round to bag the 2023 WNBA 3-Point Contest title, Ionescu decided to send a special shoutout to Steph — one that the Dubs superstar simply cannot ignore.

To say that Ionescu caught fire during Friday’s 3-point contest performance would be a massive understatement. See for yourself:

The Liberty star just set a new record for the NBA and WNBA 3-Point Contest with her title-clinching 37-point performance in the final round. The previous record was held by Curry, who logged 31 points in 2021. Well, Ionescu just blew that record out of the water on Friday night.

After her mind-blowing hot streak, Sabrina just had to send a special challenge for Steph on Twitter:

    Shoot out??😂 @StephenCurry30

    — Sabrina Ionescu (@sabrina_i20) July 15, 2023

To be fair, Curry gave credit where it was due as he shared his emphatic reaction to Ionescu’s wild shooting night:

    RIDICULOUS! @sabrina_i20 https://t.co/djeRmwh3UO

    — Stephen Curry (@StephenCurry30) July 14, 2023

I can only hope that Steph Curry accepts Ionescu’s shootout challenge. Wouldn’t that be a treat for basketball fans everywhere?

NBA news: Ray Allen Is The Only Milwaukee Bucks Player To Ever Win The 3-Point Contest

In case you were wondering, the only Milwaukee Bucks player to have ever won the 3-Point Contest is the great Ray Allen. The two-time NBA champ, who incidentally, also held the NBA’s all-time 3-point record before Curry shattered it a couple of years ago, bagged the 3-Point Contest trophy back in 2001. It was a memorable performance too, with Allen draining 10 consecutive triples en route to the title:

Needless to say, Ray Allen is an absolute Bucks legend.
