Minnesota Timberwolves Karl-Anthony Towns has been on the receiving end of so much hate for quite some time now. But after putting on an impressive show during the postseason, various personalities have showered praises for the All-Star big man, including Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley.
Towns first entered the NBA as the Timberwolves’ number one pick in the 2015 Draft. Paired with Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine, the big man was supposed to be the central figure in Minnesota’s plan to compete years ago. Instead, he was looked down upon for his lack of grit and unwillingness to go past his comfort zone.

Even with all of his talent, Towns showed many times in the past he was unable to become his team’s number one option. And after Jimmy Butler’s controversial spat with him during his time with the team, more criticisms were hurled at the Minnesota All-Star center.
This year, though, things are becoming better for Towns as the Wolves are putting a great show in the playoffs. After eliminating both the Phoenix Suns and defending champions Denver Nuggets, the third-seeded Timberwolves now have a chance to go to the NBA Finals. Of course, Towns’ impact on the game helped make that happen for Minnesota.
Minnesota Timberwolves’ Karl-Anthony Towns Receives Big Praise From Milwaukee Bucks’ Patrick Beverley

Milwaukee Bucks veteran guard Patrick Beverley recently praised the All-Star center for his role in Minnesota’s resurgence lately. In a video clip shared by his podcast’s official X account.

To say that Towns was the MVP of a series between the Wolves and Nikola Jokic’s Denver Nuggets is a big praise. As it stands, the All-Star center averaged 18.6 points on 39 percent shooting from deep, 9.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists. Thanks to what he did in that seven-game stretch, the Anthony Edwards-led team was able to close out the defending champs and advance to the Conference Finals.

Minnesota is currently facing a 0-1 hole against Luka Doncic’s Dallas Mavericks. But if the controversial Bucks guard is to be believed, Towns may hold the key to defeating them in their series.
