Even before joining forces with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard now that he’s with the Milwaukee Bucks, veteran guard Patrick Beverley has had the privilege of playing alongside more than a few superstars. The biggest of them all has to be LeBron James, who Pat Bev teamed up with during his stint with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Beverley, however, never got to chance to play with the GOAT. Michael Jordan had long retired (for a third time) when Beverley entered the NBA as a rookie in 2012. Pat Bev believes, though, that he may have already played with MJ’s second coming.
Kevin Garnett Drops Michael Jordan Praise on Anthony Edwards
That dude is Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Recently, Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett dropped some GOAT-level praise on the 22-year-old as he claimed that Edwards reminds him of a young MJ:
Rachel Nichols: "[Kevin Garnett] said you remind him of an 84 [Michael] Jordan. What do you think about what he said?"
Anthony Edwards: "That's the OG, man. Whatever he say, goes. … I think [KG is] right for sure." 😲

Edwards is never short on confidence, which is why it comes as no surprise that the Wolves superstar was more than willing to accept the praise. He did point out that ’84 MJ was still “finding himself,” which is why he completely agrees with Garnett’s assessment.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Patrick Beverley Reacts
Beverley had the chance to play alongside Edwards during his time in Minnesota a couple of years ago. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard was still in his sophomore year that season (2021-22), and while he was already terrorizing the league with his elite scoring prowess, he wasn’t the bona fide superstar that he is today.
Nevertheless, Beverley already saw greatness in the young man. Apparently, he already came out with the MJ comparisons even before Garnett did. This prompted an honest reaction from Pat Bev the moment he caught wind of KG’s statement on Edwards:
But when I say it I’m crazzzy. 🫤 https://t.co/eyPqeJMB25

The man has a point, I guess.
