Malik Beasley played a crucial role in the Milwaukee Bucks’ big win over the New York Knicks on Tuesday night. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard got hot as he knocked down 6 out of his 10 attempts from deep for 18 points.
After the game, Beasley spoke about taking his chances when they come as he plays alongside the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard — something that the 27-year-old swingman has excelled in this season.
Malik Beasley Lauds Myriad of Opportunities With Milwaukee Bucks

According to Beasley, he knew even before the season started that he would be provided with a ton of opportunities based on the makeup of Milwaukee’s roster. This was the mindset the entire team had taken in, and it has now become a reality at this point in the season.
“I know in training camp, we just kept smiling because it was so easy with our spacing and you’re starting to see it now,” Beasley said, via Eric Nehm of The Athletic. “A lot of guys are getting open shots.”
Beasley has benefited significantly from playing alongside Milwaukee’s stars. In 21 starts for the Bucks this season, he’s averaging 12.1 points on 48.4 percent from the field, to go along with 4.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.0 steals. Beasley has been as deadly as ever from beyond the arc, knocking down 3.0 triples per game on a career-best 46.0 percent (!) clip.
Beasley Wants to Win It All

Beasley knows that the job is not done for the Bucks, though. Tuesday’s win allowed Milwaukee to book their spot in the semifinals of the NBA’s In-Season Tournament against the Indiana Pacers, which is the same team that defeated them earlier this season.
“We’re not done,” Beasley said. “We’re going to Vegas. We’re proud. We’re not mad at that, but we’re not done. So, we know we got two more to win and like I said, I want to win two championships, so we got a lot more to go.”

The Bucks battle the Pacers on Thursday in a do-or-die, winner-take-all elimination game. The winner will proceed to the final against either the Los Angeles Lakers or the New Orleans Pelicans for a chance to bring home the NBA Cup.
