Behind the Buck Pass Writer Dalton Sell Thinks That Bobby Portis Jr. Could Be Traded From the Milwaukee Bucks

Sell featured an article about five players who could potentially be traded this offseason from the Bucks. One of the names he mentioned that could be traded is Sixth Man of the Year Finalist Bobby Portis Jr. For behindthebuckpass.com, he wrote about Portis Jr. potentially being traded this offseason by saying:
“There was a legitimate sense that the Milwaukee Buck would trade Bobby Portis this past season, as his name was floating around in rumors constantly. There were so many that it was pretty stunning to see him still on the roster when the trade deadline buzzer sounded.
Portis had a much better second half of the season, but it likely was not enough to prevent him from being involved in rumors again. Portis is undeniably one of Milwaukee’s best trade assets. Despite what some Bucks fans will say, he’s one of the better reserves in the entire business and can provide a spark constantly with his scoring, rebounding and electric attitude.
Opposing teams would love to get their hands on a player who could do all of that for them.”
Bobby Portis Jr. would help a team that needs scoring off the bench. The Milwaukee Bucks would miss his production for sure, but they need to get younger. He is 29 years old. This past season for the Milwaukee Bucks, he averaged 13.8 PPG, 7.4 RPG, 1.3 APG, 0.4 BPG, and 0.8 SPG.

There were times this season when he had to be in the starting lineup for the Milwaukee Bucks. Portis Jr. will be a candidate for other teams to acquire in a trade this summer. He was a fan favorite for Milwaukee, but this is a business more than anything.
